The seemingly insatiable appetite for ever faster and beefier broadband services has led infrastructure-service providers to push their network spending to levels incompatible with an economy emerging from recession, according to a new M/C Venture Partners report. For example, Zayo Group's bandwidth division will next year increase its investment from $45 million to $65 million while RCN Metro and AboveNet report a similar trend.
