The Certification Commission for Health IT has passed the first set of electronic health record products submitted for meaningful use certification under its CCHIT Certified 2011 Comprehensive and Preliminary ARRA 2011 initiatives. EHR vendors wanting to measure their products against the proposed meaningful use criteria will be able to "quickly close any gaps after the final rules are published in the Federal Register in spring 2010" through these two CCHIT certification programs, the agency said.
