The Environmental Protection Agency has expressed concerns regarding the proposed hydraulic drilling for natural gas in New York's Marcellus Shale and has asked the state to make additional studies on the project's impact. The State Department of Environmental Conservation, however, offered no concrete response: "At this time we are still taking input from the public, and it would not be appropriate to respond to specific comments," a spokesman said.
