The German government plans to present an idea for reviving the securitisation market at a meeting today hosted by Chancellor Angela Merkel, a senior government source said. Bankers and business leaders will discuss the country's tight credit conditions and ways to relieve them. The plan involves KfW, the state-owned development bank, offering guarantees for some assets to help remove credit-default risks from banks' balance sheets.
