Lunch time at one Maryland high school is now more of a one-hour free period where students can talk, study, sleep -- as well as receive academic interventions with teachers. Previously, struggling students were asked to come to school early or stay late to receive extra help, but officials rearranged the school's lunch schedule to allow students to get help within the school day. "There are no excuses now. They can't say they didn't have time," the school principal said.
