As part of one Ohio district's Honors Academy, Team Orion comprises students from honors classes and advanced placement and students who are gifted, giving them their own wing of Garfield Middle School. Students are co-taught for two years to help establish stronger relationships, and student-led parent conferences are aimed at creating autonomous learners. "This team has kids that want to connect and teachers that want to invest in them as a person," the school's principal said.
