Research in Motion and Motorola will provide China Mobile with their wireless devices, according to separate announcements from the phone makers. RIM said today that it would work with China Mobile to provide BlackBerry models based on the carrier's proprietary 3G TD-SCDMA standard as well as help develop phones for the emerging TD-LTE protocol. Motorola said it would begin selling its Droid-style smartphone, equipped to run on TD-SCDMA, on Dec. 28.
