Sprint Nextel has said it will no longer bring to market new Sprint-branded handsets that feature "push-to-talk" service using its QChat technology, although it will continue to support existing devices. The move comes a year after Sprint introduced QChat, which the company said accounted for only a small portion of traffic over its iDEN network, which largely carries the Nextel-branded PTT service.
