A British study that included 25,000 people found dietary phytoestrogens overall don't appear to affect the risk of developing hormone-sensitive cancers, such as breast, prostate cancer or colorectal cancer, but researchers said additional studies are needed. Researchers said phytoestrogens in eggs and dairy products "may influence the risk of prostate cancer and colon cancer in women" but said the evidence was weak and shouldn't cause anyone to change their diet.
