Chief information officers are no longer preoccupied with simply optimizing internal technologies, Kim Nash writes as part of CIO.com's coverage of its 2010 State of the CIO survey. A growing number of IT leaders say that finding commercial opportunities, offering customer service and reaching business goals are now priority activities, according to the survey. "Top technology executives increasingly see bringing home the bacon as their job, too," Nash writes.
