A federal survey of almost 45,000 U.S. adolescents ages 12 to 17 found most believe smoking cigarettes is riskier than using illegal drugs or binge drinking. The survey found 70% of respondents said smoking a pack a day or more was a major health risk, but only 40% said binge drinking and 34.2% said marijuana use posed serious health risks.
