Some educators are using yoga in schools as a way to calm and focus students as well as improve posture, balance, and even grades. Some teachers say yoga can be especially helpful for students who have special behavioral needs or other disabilities. "I find that students with disabilities have a hard time letting themselves relax," said a Minneapolis developmental adaptive physical-education specialist. "But they do it enough and they find out, 'OK, I can relax,' and they like it."
