The resolution of the retransmission-consent dispute recently ironed out between Time Warner Cable and News Corp. likely was more complicated than a relatively simple per-subscriber-per-month fee, according to Thomas Eagan, an analyst with Collins Stewart. "We expect the companies negotiated a multichannel, multiplatform agreement, which included the Fox broadcast network and several cable channels," he said, adding that digital rights and commercial time may also have factored into the equation.
