Two new products are offering teachers access to interactive whiteboards without the additional hardware, using projector technology to turn any surface into a whiteboard that allows interaction with an infrared pen. Epson Electronics' BrightLink and Boxlight's ProjectoWrite2/W can both project whiteboard software onto classroom walls or dry-erase boards of varying sizes without the use of a separate digital projector, unlike previously released products. The BrightLink product costs close to $2,000.
