Burgers and fries franchise Carl's Jr. has brought its sex-sells marketing ethic to the social-media world, hiring Kim Kardashian to pitch its new line of salads. Customers who bought salads and followed the chain's Twitter and Facebook feeds gained entry codes for a live video chat with Kardashian. "A sexy girl can sell a lot of things," says Brad Rosenberg, the company's digital-marketing manager.
