Columnist Evan Cooper writes that almost 70% of all cash in money-market funds and more than 80% of cash in government money funds come from institutional investors. The concern is that institutional investors will quickly jump from one investment vehicle to another to gain a bit of extra yield. Traditionally, this has not been a problem for money funds because retail investors made up the bulk of their investors and they stayed put.
