Students in Scotland's schools have become increasingly violent -- attacking fellow pupils and teachers -- yet fewer are being expelled from school, according to school data. However, educators are questioning the reliability of the data. "I suspect that the figures do not include those pupils removed from the classroom and placed into alternative situations such as behavioural support units," said Anne Ballinger, general secretary of the Secondary School Teachers Association. She also said some teachers are under pressure to not expel pupils.
