A rainy day in New York City inspired wireless entrepreneur Alan Kaufman to create the Nubrella, a wearable rain guard built to withstand 40 mph winds. He sold out his first batch of 300, and then, lacking the capital to expand, agreed to appear on ABC's "Shark Tank" in search of investors. He says he hopes the Jan. 29 episode will help him sell another 1,000 units -- and, more importantly, get him in front of major retailers such as Target and Costco.
