Ford's in-car Sync technology system was in more than 1 million vehicles the company sold in 2009 and helped the automaker give tech-savvy consumers what they want, said Alan Mulally, Ford's chief executive officer. According to the company's research, the Sync system was crucial to the purchase decision of one-third of Ford buyers and 77% said they would recommend it to a friend.
