Louisiana resident Doug White flew a plane to safety, with the help of air traffic controllers, after the pilot died en route last year. After he landed the plane in Florida, White -- who had basic flight training 20 years ago but had not piloted a plane for almost that long -- began training to receive a commercial rating. "I look forward to flying the King Air back and landing in Fort Myers one day with the same air traffic controllers on duty," White said.
