JPMorgan Chase, Goldman Sachs and other major financial institutions are poised to unveil substantial bonus packages and have braced for political and public backlash in relation to the plans. While the ratio of total compensation expenses to net revenue will be down significantly, the amounts are still expected to be large enough to spark controversy. Meanwhile, Goldman is looking into expanding a program that requires some executives to donate a percentage of their earnings to charity.
