Patent battles continue to escalate among mobile-phone makers as Motorola becomes the latest to file a suit, asking the U.S. International Trade Commission to bar the import of BlackBerry handsets because they reportedly violate five of the phone maker's patents. Motorola and BlackBerry maker Research in Motion have been fighting over the technology in a federal court since February 2008 after a cross-licensing agreement expired in December 2007.
