He was one of the longest-serving FMI directors and a winner of FMI's Sidney Raab award for outstanding service.
FMI honored Jeff Noddle, chairman and chief executive officer of SUPERVALU, with the 2009 Herbert Hoover Award. Neil Golub, president and CEO of Price Chopper Supermarkets, received the 2009 Glen P. SUPERVALU's chief executive, Jeff Noddle, said he expects manufacturers to eventually lower their prices, as retailers continue to slash prices as well. "I think they're going to be forced initially into more trade spending and then ultimately bringing prices down," he said.

Rabb Award to Craig Schnuck, chairman of the executive committee of Schnuck Markets, and the Glen P. Woodard Public Affairs Award to Steve Burd, chairman, president and CEO of Safeway.
