IT and security executives involved with industries ranging from finance to telecommunications to utilities are declaring cyberwar, facing widespread attacks that cost an average of $6.3 million, according to a McAfee report in conjunction with Center for Strategic and International Studies. IT executives globally are increasingly concerned about attacks, and 54% had experienced "stealthy infiltration" or "large-scale denial of service attacks by high level adversary like organized crime, terrorists or nation-state," the report found.
