NFIB's latest monthly survey found that small-businesses optimism fell slightly in December to 88 from 88.3 in November. "Optimism has clearly stalled in spite of the improvements in the economy," NFIB said. "Continued weak sales and threatening domestic policies from Washington have left small-business owners with little to be optimistic about in the coming year," elaborated NFIB Chief Economist William Dunkelberg.
