A recent survey of 740 National Board Certified Teachers in California found that 84% view No Child Left Behind unfavorably. The University of California, Riverside, survey revealed that most teacher respondents believe NCLB limits classroom creativity and places too much emphasis on state tests. Teachers told researchers that they are forced to teach to state tests, leaving little time to engage students in fun lessons that encourage a love of learning.
