As British retailers release their sales results for the holiday period, trends are emerging, including an increase in sales of televisions and computers and a decline in book sales. DSG International, for example, experienced an 8% jump in its like-for-like sales in the company's electricals operations. Argos also reported strong sales growth in white goods, including computers and TVs. Waterstone's, meanwhile, experienced an 8.5% drop in its like-for-like sales.
