Verizon Wireless will reportedly begin charging data customers of its "3G multimedia" phones the same price it charges its smartphone users next Monday as part of an overhaul that might also lead to its introduction of usage-based billing, according to Internet reports. The move is said to be aimed at growing Verizon Wireless' data revenue and finding the optimum model at a time when carriers are finding more growth opportunities in data than in voice. Verizon Wireless is not commenting on the reports.
