Veterinarians are trying to find ways to treat an 11-year-old Northern sea otter at the Oregon Coast Aquarium that has an unknown ailment characterized by a persistent bladder infection. Magnetic resonance imaging scans showed that the otter had a bulging disc, and the experts are considering a procedure that involves connecting the bladder to the abdominal wall to redirect the excretion of urine.
