After 12 months of decline, global chemical production returned to positive growth in November, according to a report from the American Chemistry Council. Total production in 2009, however, is expected to drop by 3.8% from the year before. China, the Asia Pacific region, North America, Western Europe and the Middle East led the recovery, but production remained weak in Latin America and the rest of Europe.
