The Oneworld airline alliance appears secure and perhaps stronger than ever in transatlantic and transpacific markets after Japan Airlines declined Delta's bait and decided to stay with Oneworld. The alliance's members are now applying for antitrust immunity for a joint-venture relationship on transpacific routes. Once the alliance's antitrust immunity is approved, Oneworld will be on course to strengthen and grow its Asia business.
