The federal government will award more than $100 million in health information technology grants to 10 states to boost care for children who qualify for Medicaid and the Children's Health Insurance Program. The funds will be used to create pediatric electronic health records and other health IT and quality improvement initiatives. "Exploring new technologies and initiatives will help ensure our kids get the high quality care they need and deserve," said HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius.
