Kay Koplovitz, founder of USA Network and board member of several major corporations, founded venture capital firm Springboard Enterprises in 2000 to help women entrepreneurs start high-growth businesses. Koplovitz said she discovered the venture capital world is an insider's game where few women are members or have the connections required to get in. Since its founding, Springboard has helped companies raise more than $5 billion in venture capital, Koplovitz says, and one-third of them have given their investors returns.
