Novozymes will make commercially available within the next three months an enzyme, Cellic, that could convert agricultural waste into fuel, according to CEO Steen Riisgaard. The company is building a new factory in Nebraska to produce the enzyme at commercial quantities, Riisgaard said. Novozymes hopes for widespread commercialization of cellulosic ethanol production by 2013, he added.
