Contrary to a recent commentary by Rep. Louise Slaughter, D-N.Y., claiming that antibiotics are overused in livestock production, U.S. Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer of Missouri says farmers are careful with their administration of antibiotics to ensure the health of their animals and prevent diseases.
