The Environmental Protection Agency's announcement to defer by late summer its decision on the petition to raise the ethanol blend limit to 15% is "troubling," according to Brian Jennings, executive director of the American Coalition for Ethanol. Given the abundance of research already available on the higher blend's effect on engine performance, it is frustrating that the EPA keeps "looking for some sort of excuse to delay or not to make the decision," Jennings said.
