Spring break travelers unaccustomed to flying will likely encounter a host of new security delays at U.S. airports, the Associated Press reports. The surge in infrequent fliers will cause longer screening times, predicts aviation consultant Mark Kiefer, noting that processing times for full-body scanners are longer than those for metal detectors. But the TSA disagrees, predicting the scanners will not "significantly" increase waiting times at airport security checkpoints.
