A primary-school teacher in Magdalena, Colombia, operates a mobile library using donkeys to transport books to the country's rural areas, where it can take children as long as 40 minutes to travel to the nearest school. Twice each week, Luis Soriano travels to several villages, where he teaches as many as 50 students in each and helps them with homework and reading. Soriano began the program in 1990 and has helped more than 4,000 children.
