Pay TV operators, by launching a new effort to re-regulate the retransmission consent system, may have opened a "Pandora's box" that could lead to a la carte programming, according to this post by David Lieberman.
"The FCC could easily decide that it's time for a la carte -- giving cable and satellite customers the flexibility to just pay for the channels that they want," Lieberman writes.
