Social marketers could be missing out on opportunities to build their brand abroad if they neglect Europe's social networks, writes Bas van den Beld. Tens of millions of Europeans use sites such as France's Skyrock or Germany's StudiVZ Group, and few marketers are making the most of the opportunities represented by the smaller, more targeted sites. "When you are aiming for business in Europe ... you would be a fool to ignore the opportunities the local social networks offer you," he writes.
