Representatives from the wind-energy industry went to Washington, D.C., to make their case for a national renewable-energy standard. More than 70 meetings were held during the event, called Wind Power on Capitol Hill. "We need to drive demand in a stable, predictable way," said Vic Abate, vice president for renewables at GE Energy. "For the jobs to grow, the renewable-electricity standard is critical."
