Middle Eastern chemical producers expect a 4.6% increase in global chemical output after the same degree of contraction in 2009, said Mohammed Al Mady, chairman of the Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association. Data from the American Chemistry Council helped the GPCA show how chemical-industry growth in Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Qatar contributed to a 3.7% average growth in the Middle East.
