JetBlue Airways announced Monday it will maintain its longtime association with New York by consolidating its corporate headquarters in Queens, rather than Orlando, Fla. "After an exhaustive study to determine the best location for our corporate offices, we have decided that remaining in our hometown of New York makes the most sense for our company," said CEO Dave Barger. "This city is an important part of our heritage and culture, our brand, and our customer connection." With about 1,000 jobs at stake, JetBlue originally evaluated 16 possible headquarters locations before narrowing the competition to New York and Orlando.
