Officials in Maryland's Anne Arundel County are set to break ground today on a $950,000 adaptive-recreation field that will serve athletes with disabilities. The field will be home to a county-run baseball league for children with disabilities and will feature a rubberized surface that can accommodate wheelchairs. "I will be able to use these facilities and not have to fight for facilities. When this came along from the county, it was a boon," said the director of the county's Special Olympics.
