Sears and Macy's for the first time are reaching out to promgoers via social media. Sears has created the "Ultimate Prom Experience," a microsite with dresses, style tips, a sweepstakes and a quiz, whose results can be posted on Facebook and Twitter. Macy's customers can post photos on its "Prom 2010" section on its Facebook fan page and use the Twitter hashtag, #prom2010, to tweet about prom-themed events in stores.
