Nestle has added to its line of chocolate-covered Raisinets with the introduction of Cherry Raisinets, made with whole dried cherries from Michigan that are covered in Nestle Dark Chocolate. The launch follows last year's introduction of Cranberry Raisinets.
Treated tea seed oil can take the place of about 10% of the cocoa butter in dark chocolate, saving money for chocolate makers, a study indicates. Substituting the oil, a byproduct of tea production, did not harm the sensory qualities of the chocolate, researchers said.

Easter-egg maker Baronie is offering the first products made with UTZ sustainable chocolate created by the Cocoa & Chocolate unit of Cargill. The Easter eggs, available in supermarkets in Holland, are made with Cargill chocolate from UTZ Certified cocoa beans.
