The German-based parent of T-Mobile USA promised Wednesday to boost the carrier's bottom line by making wireless-data services a front-burner priority. In emphasizing Deutsche Telekom's commitment to the carrier, Chief Executive Officer Rene Obermann also indicated that he would seek to help T-Mobile by wooing Internet-centric subscribers rather than through acquisitions. Obermann's comments to investors came as part of a broader pledge to focus on nontraditional telecom areas to double the company's revenue by 2015.
