Educators at one Alabama high school are using technology to enhance science learning because of the school's participation in state programs that promote hands-on activities. In a recent honors anatomy and physiology lab, students performed electrocardiograms on each other using high-tech EKG equipment purchased by the school as part of its involvement in the Alabama Math, Science and Technology Initiative. Other projects have included the use of high-powered microscopes to determine blood type and study cancer cells.
