Verizon Business has moved to beef up its unified-communications menu of services by establishing separate partnerships with Microsoft and Cisco Systems, the telecom has announced. The carrier's pairing with Microsoft will give subscribers who use the software maker's 2007 UC platform access to Verizon's IP trunking technology. The Cisco collaboration will provide those customers with access to the gear maker's TelePresence videoconferencing services.
