Interactive TV service will help IPTV carriers with customer retention, but not so much with acquisition although certain pay-TV features -- sports, films, HD and video-on-demand, for example -- will bring in plenty of subscribers, an executive at Verizon Communications' FiOS TV service explained Tuesday at an industry event. "No one's going to change their service because they can get horoscopes on their television," even though it is a hugely popular interactive service, said FiOS Vice President Terry Denson.
